It's no wonder that Dog Fancy Magazine named Bend as "Dog Town USA."
Bend, Oregon is not only an amazing place for humans, but their pets as well. Central Oregon visitors & locals thrive on hiking the trails, mountains, and valleys. Bend offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor adventures with your pup, and here are a few of our favorites:
Walking the Deschutes River Trail
The Deschutes River Trail is collectively a 19 mile long loop that will have you traveling through many beautiful areas of Bend, Oregon. For the adventurous in spirit, start out near Farewell Bend Park or Riverbend Park and the trail will take you along the Deschutes River and into forest settings. But for a more casual walk, keep to the trail areas next to the Old Mill District, where the paths are nice and flat but there's still plenty to see.

Riverbend Park and Farewell Bend Park - Easy River Access
Riverbend Park and Farewell Bend Park are located almost across from each other, on opposite sides of the Deschutes River. They are both also located along the Deschutes River Trail. Both parks offer easy river access, which is perfect for your water-loving pups.
